To make writing services affordable to small businesses who may be just getting underway as well as larger firms who may need more long term help, I charge an affordable hourly rate of $30.00 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments, with a one hour minimum. I average about 550 words per hour on topics I know well. That’s approximately a page of web content for $30, or ten pages of unique content for $300. Topics that require more research are still billed at the $30 per hour rate, but you should expect the output to be slightly lower. To give you an idea, here’s 466 word blog article on a typical web site.
I welcome both small projects and ongoing assignments such as blog ghostwriting or large site development.
To make it convenient to get started, I’ll have a link here soon where you can order the initial hour by credit card. This can include an initial consultation with me about your project. Naturally if you decide after talking to me that my services are not for you, you will not be billed for the first hour.
I am also an experienced computer programmer and webmaster, so generally I can also handle things like customer response forms and Wordpress integration for you at the same rate. I can also help you with suggestions, link placements, blog training, and social media work that may improve your search engine positioning and overall business effectiveness online. I’m happy to share my SEO credentials when you call, though you should note that SEO can sometimes be a very labor intensive process (depending on your business and keyword choices). Anyone who tells you they can get you to the front page of Google overnight is either re-selling AdWords at a markup or trying to scam you.
